Two Use Patents Granted

SOCIUM Inc. (https://socium.co.jp/) has been granted two use patents: “Agent for the Treatment or Prevention of Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration Associated with TDP-43 Accumulation (FTLD-TDP)” (Patent No. 7887699) and “Cancer Treatment Drug” (Patent No. 7888141).

The former is one of the extension patents of the previously granted “Agent for the Treatment or Prevention of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis” (Patent No. 7660827) [Company “NEWS”, April 15, 2025], and is a patent designed to realize our “Umbrella Drug Discovery” concept. The latter is a patent related to our pipeline compound SO-001, designed to enable the development of novel compounds based on the discovery of approved drugs.

Our drug discovery and development business is making steady progress.

This patent was applied for and granted under the guidance of Mr. Arimichi Ito, a patent attorney at TMI Associates. We would like to express our gratitude here.
